How would you like to provide high quality administrative support, whilst making a positive difference to the lives of many children and families in Oxfordshire?

This post represents an exciting opportunity to provide essential administrative support to the Chairs and Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs) in the Safeguarding Team. The purpose of this team is to hold Child Protection Conferences on behalf of Oxfordshire’s Safeguarding Board. The team also chair family support conferences, review conferences and audit the quality of service provision.

You will be someone who thrives on working in a team, to tight deadlines. You will need to be able to work at a fast pace, calmly and efficiently, under pressure and when working with sensitive and at times distressing information about the safety and wellbeing of children. Naturally, we expect you to have excellent administration skills and be very well organised. Experience of taking complex minutes would be needed.

While prior experience of working in a social care environment is not essential, you should be able to demonstrate experience of providing administrative support in a busy, customer-focused team. Full training will be provided, and you will have line management support from a Senior Administrative Officer.
