Business Change Manager HCC2762817
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced and talented Business Change Managers who would like to be involved in leading and enabling service transformation and sustainable change within a prestigious public sector organisation. At Hampshire County Council, we are proud of our strong record of delivering excellent services that provide value for money. Over the past several years, we have risen to the challenge of national spending cuts with an ambitious programme of savings and modernisation, whilst protecting frontline services and reducing the impact on those in most need.
As part of building capacity to meet the challenges posed to 2019 and beyond, the Culture, Communities and Business Services (CCBS) Department is looking for highly skilled, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to help drive business change in key transformational programmes and projects over the next 18 months. You will manage and support the implementation of projects which involve a significant amount of people change. Our work is as varied as our client base – we help services shape their strategies, review business processes and develop new operating models; we provide strategic advice and analysis to inform evidence based decision making, enabling our services to pursue initiatives that position them strongly for the future. We work across the diverse array of CCBS services, encompassing a range of business services, property services, and the community, cultural and heritage sectors.
You will be adept at identifying and managing change impacts within a business environment. With excellent interpersonal skills you excel at relationship building and are able to influence a diverse array of stakeholders. Your credibility builds confidence and enables you to deliver successful outcomes through others within a matrix environment. You will be able to think strategically and understand the bigger picture, as well as being hands on with reviews of business processes and the development and delivery of change management plans and interventions. Your flexible approach will enable you to cope with ambiguity around transformation projects, whilst maintaining pace on change initiatives within a busy environment.
Your proven track record of business change management will enable you to hit the ground running. You will have previous experience as a change manager, management consultant, or programme/project manager within a transformational environment. This is an excellent opportunity for up to two capable self starters to demonstrate and develop their skill sets playing a leading role in developing, driving and delivering effective change management to support business transformation across CCBS. Contracts are fixed term for 18 months.
The Culture, Communities and Business Services department is one of the largest and most diverse in the County Council, and is responsible for delivering a wide range of services. Further information of the services provided by CCBS can be found here: http://www3.hants.gov.uk/ccbs.
