Children and Family Care Services is part of the wider Children's Disability Team.

We are looking to recruit a Care Assistant to provide direct personal care and support to disabled children and their families and to help them achieve positive outcomes. It also involves supporting the children in the community to access activities of their choice.

Care Assistants carry out domiciliary care, safeguarding work and supporting the children and their families in aspects of their life. The work is interesting, varied enjoyable but can be challenging.

You will be an effective communicator who is committed to promoting equal opportunities for disabled children. You will be able to work as part of a team. You must be able to produce written documents, follow departmental procedures, use initiative, and work in a busy, but rewarding environment.

This role will cover work across the Vale, South & West Oxfordshire. Travel time is paid in addition to mileage which is paid at 45p per mile.
