Summary Justice Case Officer - HC2213
We are currently recruiting for a Summary Justice Case Officer to perform a range of duties relating to the enforcement and prosecution of offences in relation to road traffic casualty reduction policies, in relation to the review, preparation of prosecutions cases and giving evidence at court.
Some of the key accountabilities are:
1. Responsibility for the review of SCU prosecution cases including file preparation and submission.
2. Attending Magistrates’ and Crown Courts to give evidence or advise in contested cases
3. Extract evidence and intelligence from film sequences.
4. Interrogate databases to obtain/check information – DVLA, PNC, Pentip
5.To highlight cases and instigate enquiries/investigations where suspected criminal offences exist following review of evidence (eg unlawful use of vehicle, falsehood)
