Hampshire Constabulary are currently recruiting for a Driver Risk and Transport Efficiency Manager.

In this role you will develop and maintain systems to monitor the true cost of travel for Hampshire Constabulary and to make recommendations that drive continuous improvement by maintaining quality and delivering efficiency and develop and maintain systems for identifying and reducing driver risk and to deliver solutions that make Hampshire Constabulary compliant with the requirements of the College of Policing and Health and Safety Law.

Tasks will include:

Reviewing Police Vehicle Incidents on a daily basis, recommending levels of investigation required and whether a suspension from driving is appropriate and recommendations on a suitable outcome, eg further driver training or psychometric tests.

Assess applications from officers and staff for statutory exemption from speed limits etc, for example when a police vehicle triggers a speed camera.

Work with internal and external partners to gather and analyse data pertaining to the use of hire cars, pool cars and mileage allowances.

To make recommendations for tactical options that will effectively meet the need for users whilst reducing costs.

Deliver continuous improvements to the systems and processes associated with the provision of the vehicle fleet, pool vehicles, hire cars and grey fleet.

QCF level 3 OR work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level
Strong IT skills for the analysis and management of data using MS Excel, Word etc Experience if supervision of staff Strong report writing skills and experience of influencing and shaping change
