Caretaking Support Officer HCC2756334
Joining the Caretaking Support Service, you’ll be part of a small business unit responsible for delivering technical advice, support and training on a wide range of caretaking and cleaning matters. Your customer base will cover the whole County Council (especially schools) and as the organisation develops its business strategy this is likely to lead to training in other authorities, adjoining counties and other public sector employers.
With previous experience of building caretaking and/or cleaning management, you’ll have good computer skills along with an ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with clients ranging from cleaners to head teachers. The Caretaking Support Service is committed to developing and increasing the range of training courses it provides so evidence of your ability to give practical training whilst absorbing new ideas and methods is vital, as is the aptitude to work without supervision and prioritise your own workload.
There is a substantial amount of travelling involved in this role, so it is essential you have access to a suitable vehicle to fulfil the travel requirements.
