Working within the Estates and Economic Development Service our extensive mixed portfolio of clients and properties which includes dealing with Corporate properties, shops, offices, community buildings and two large industrial estates as well as various plant and machinery.

Your responsibilities will include day to day management of a mixed portfolio of revising and updating the Councils Asset Management plan and carrying out inspections associated with this to ensure that the Council’s assets provide a safe working environment. Following inspections preparing reports, specifications, setting and implementing a programme of repair and maintenance works should this be required. 

The ideal candidate will have a recognised property-related qualification, ideally a degree in Building Surveying or extensive relevant experience and be member of the RICS with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role. You’ll have knowledge of commercial and industrial building construction. 

Your excellent communication skills will enable you to liaise with people at all levels both within and outside the Council and build excellent working relationships.  Proficient IT skills are also essential.
