Our Engineering Consultancy is a forward thinking in-house business unit offering a range of services to the County Council and other public authorities. We provide design, project management, and financial/contract management services from early stages of a project through to supervision of the actual construction. We have a significant approved capital spend for the next 3-5 years and you can join us in this exciting journey.

Working either to the Group or Project Engineers you will be  responsible for the project management and design of a variety of transportation and related schemes.

Key to your role will be cost control, including the preparation of estimates and monitoring of expenditure, together with both internal and external consultation. Supported by engineers and technicians, you will supervise the design team to maintain scheme delivery.

You will work without close supervision, using your own initiative, whilst working as part of the team and promoting team work. You will have excellent communication skills along with good IT skills, including the ability to work with computerised information systems and a thorough understanding of relevant design standards, construction methods and contract procedures. You must be able to fulfil the travel requirements for this role.
