Hampshire County Council
£15,669 - £16,074 per annum
Castle Hill, Winchester

We’ve created a successful shared service centre using cutting edge digital technology to deliver HR, recruitment, finance, purchasing, payroll and pensions transactions to over 55,000 customers across Hampshire County Council, schools, Hampshire Constabulary and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service. The team is based in an award winning modern city-centre building – with access to excellent facilities and close to local transport links. With much national interest in our unique approach and achievements, we’re growing fast. Which is why we are looking for people with plenty of potential to join the team.

Working in this evolving and fast-paced environment, you’ll play a vital role delivering our transactional services within one of our specialist teams. In return, you’ll be trained, supported and encouraged to develop a range of skills with the opportunity to specialise in the future.

Our shared service centre is a fresh approach to business. By joining us, you’ll be part of our forward thinking organisation, receive first-class training and enjoy the company of our friendly teams. In return, it’s important you’re a good communicator with attention to detail, always put customers first and have a good level of IT skills.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Administrative Assistant to join Hampshire Workforce Development. We are an innovative, challenging and high performing service where you can make a real difference to public services through course administration and front line customer service.

This is a varied, interesting and rewarding role where you will provide an efficient and high quality front line customer service along with administrative support in a workforce development capacity to Hampshire County Council, Hampshire Fire and Rescue, Hampshire Constabulary and Oxfordshire County Council.

The primary aspect of this role is to deliver course administration support for management and leadership development which we offer all of our partner organisations. You will receive calls and queries related to various training initiatives and you will manage these queries diligently and effectively. You will co-ordinate and manage bookings using several different systems which means that you will be confident with mastering different programmes and databases. You will possess excellent organisation and communication skills. With a positive 'can do' attitude, you will have the ability to work under pressure, approaching tasks with confidence and clarity and be able to work using your own initiative.  You will also be proactive and flexible in your approach and have the ability to work as part of a team.
