There is an exciting opportunity to work for a newly formed Regional Adoption Agency, Adopt Thames Valley (ATV) created by 7 councils: Bracknell Forest, Oxfordshire, Windsor and Maidenhead, Reading, Swindon, West Berkshire and Wokingham.  

You will develop the profile of ATV and encourage more people to offer the ‘forever family’ that vulnerable children really need to help them grow up happy and secure.  Your challenge is to develop and deliver compelling marketing campaigns that will persuade families to take the first step and contact ATV.

Based in Oxford, we need a good people person who can organize and attend events throughout the region.  Direct contact with families provides the perfect opportunity to really understand the hopes and anxieties of families considering adopting so your marketing approach really speaks to them.  An ability to engage with communities and local businesses, creating long lasting productive relationships.  (Some unsociable working hours are required.)

Some experience of consumer marketing, possibly related to children and families. You will be confident using a wide range of marketing tactics to reach potential families, including social media, events and above the line advertising.

The need for adoptive families is growing at a time when fewer families nationally are coming forward.  ATV needs to buck that trend.  An ability to use research, data and analytics to develop and evaluate your campaigns.  To report and present results.

You will be working alongside the Adoption Team to understand requirements and manage the marketing communications strategy accordingly.  You will manage a budget.
