Housing Enforcement Officer/ Environmental Health Officer
New Forest District Council is looking for an Environmental Health Officer, to join a forward thinking Private Sector Housing service
We are looking for an officer who is enthusiastic, innovative and will positively contribute to driving the service forward. This is a new post and you will have the opportunity to develop and shape the service in relation to changes to the HMO licensing scheme as well as having a role in the disabled adaptation funding programme.
The successful candidate will ideally have;
- Degree or equivalent in Environmental Health
- EHORB registered with relevant professional membership
- 2 years post graduate experience in the housing field
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
We are one of the largest non-unitary Council’s in the UK. Based in Hampshire, we have over 16 million visitors to the National Park, surrounding towns and villages and stunning beaches along the 40 mile coastline. This all contributes to a diverse range of challenging and interesting housing issues to resolve.
