Apprenticeship Grounds Maintenance - 2 yrs P01723
We are pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Grounds Maintenance team at Claymeadow Depot in Totton, with occasional work at Marsh Lane Depot Lymington. Based in a busy operational environment, the successful applicants will learn about and assist with most horticultural and arboricultural activities which will include grass cutting, shrub pruning, hedge cutting and a variety of grounds maintenance duties. This is a 2 yr (24 month)apprenticeship.

This is an excellent opportunity to combine on the job training, guidance, and support with taught modules at college to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to gain the Apprenticeship Level Two in Horticultural Studies. This is a two year apprenticeship with external training through Sparsholt College for the full two years, Winchester assistance will be given in respect of travel to offsite sessions.
The successful candidates will have a willingness to learn about Grounds Maintenance in an Environment Services setting through a work-based training programme and therefore ideally have 3 GCSE’s at grade c or above ( to include Maths & English). Preference will be given to someone who lives or works in the New Forest District.

Hours of work: 37 per week normally 0730 – 1530 hours Monday to Thursday and 0730-1500 hours Friday.
