Business Support Assistant HCC2662060

Hampshire County Council
£16,209 - £17,955 per annum
Four Chimneys, Winchester

The Education Participation Team, part of Hampshire Futures has two new roles within our successful team. Our team provide the first point of contact to young people aged 16 to 19.

You will make telephone calls to engage young people who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) and offer basic information with a view to enabling young people to access our free high quality information, advice and guidance service. This is a mainly telephone based role, though at some points in the year you may be asked to work with a member of the local cluster team to visit young people in their community. You will have good IT skills and be familiar with the use of social media.

You will also be responsible for accurately recording contacts you have with young people onto a data base. Ideally you will:

  • have a mature attitude whilst establishing a quick and easy rapport with young people;
  • be able to manage your own work load, particularly at busy times;
  • accurately make calls and record the results.

Please note the advert will close at 12pm on Thursday, 14 September 2017.

Our Organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults. We expect all employees, workers and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment.
