Assistant Team Manager HCC2567021
At Hampshire County Council, we make our decisions for the right reasons – not to make headline and improve our ratings, but to deliver even better services to children and families across the county.
As part of our ongoing commitment to investing in support for adopted children and their families, we are recruiting for an Assistant Team Manager for the Adoption Support Team.
You will work closely with the team manager to oversee and support the work of adoption support social workers in completing Adoption Support Needs Assessments and delivering Adoption Support Plans. Our work also involves the provision of services to adult adoptees and services for birth parents. On occasions we deliver workshops and events at weekends and attend recruitment events in the evenings.
You will have a social work qualification and will offer substantial post-qualifying experience of complex children and family work and you will be someone who sets high professional standards – and maintains them. Above all, you should have a desire to help shape and develop a service that is currently receiving national investment.
Given how seriously we take development here, you must be willing and motivated to grow in your role and to make the most of the guidance and support, formal supervision and regular training opportunities that will be available to you.
